A Corpo Owned Media is an anathema to democracy (Big "D" too)

Why? Money, that's why.

Which back are they watching? What advertisements will get aired? They are of money and for money so while there may be some Bread and Circuses the fact is it's a tool to control the masses for...You guessed it: MONEY.

Money and those who have enough to both control the media and the electoral process.

Elections are democratic? Bullshit. Not if the almighty fucking Dollar controls who gets more airtime. It's not just avertisements, it's the whole damned thing.

Glorify the Rich, ie. Money, and toss a few bones to the "outcasts", ie. no Money.

Who wins in the end? MONEY.

Freedom? Freedom to buy shit. Democracy? For the Money, ie. those with it.

What's the point of all this? Hell if I know, I'm just sick of the mass mind fuck.

PS~ I should add that if you like being labelled a Consumer over being a Citizen then I give the hell up. We ARE the consumables...

2. Yes, I have.
I agree with you completely. It's funny: I started a thread on just this subject early today. ("A Conspiracy of Silence.") I had been thinking about it for a couple days, and I used an example going back 40+ years ago to show when I believe the media became a danger to democracy. I just resurrected the thread from the "lost threads" of GD, and would be curious what you think of it.

3. It's silence, it's a constant validation of the Status Quo.
Lies of Ommission, the glorification of Greed.

It's all one pretty little package of Blue Pill (Or the Red Pill...Damn my lack of matrix knowledge...) all the time.
