Beyond Gannongate.
Watching the "news" this morning, you would never know that Gannon even exists. Terror warnings, Specter, Michael Jackson, and a train/truck wreck are more interesting than corruption of the press.

Perhaps we should and can, at a later date, consider expanding Gannongate into Mediagate. How DID the people who are attending these little briefings get their pass? In light of surfacing reports that Bush actually paid journalists off, perhaps we should look a little closer at the attendees of these little "events".

2. Doesn't Gannon
and the lack of reporting on the story show that the US media cannot be trusted and that Americans should be getting their news from other sources? Any way one could insist on getting foreign news on their TV cable/satellite dish? Maybe a concerted letter writing campaign to the owners of such services requesting a "foreign news package" would get results.

6. Feh, the stonewalling assholes...
If there's anything you can count on, it's America's appetite for tawdry, salacious crap. I remember when the Starr report was posted on the web, for days afterward the speed of the internet was like sucking CheezWhiz through a straw. Liberals oughta force the issue with a rarely-mentioned fact:
Guckert posted pictures of himself peeing on the web.

That'll curdle the milk in America's cornflakes. Let the moral values crowd stew on the idea that every time McClellan said, "Go ahead, Jeff", he was talking to a pee fetishist. If they still want to be dismissive, remind them just what it is they're pretending to be blase about.
