What are Democratic values? How do we express them?

Here's a short list, my top three if you will:

diversity
equality
justice

I believe that we express diversity by embracing everyone, regardless of race, gender and/or gender identity, religion, economic status, etc.

We express equality by continuing to insure that everyone gets a fair chance in employment, immigration, housing, healthcare, our legal system, etc. But to my mind, an important expression of equality is to fight to secure choice. Until women can control their reproductive lives, we can't be equal to men.

Justice, to my mind, goes hand in hand with diversity and equality. By protecting the rights of everyone to have an equal chance, we are protecting jusice.

1. I like your thoughts very much. Plain and simple...but it

embraces everything! I'm going to have this made into a bumper sticker! Why don't you send this suggestion to the DNC as our slogan for our next election.

Wish I had thought of this. If we have all three of these, everything else of value falls into place...education, economy, religion, health issues, defense, environment...
