My still unanswered question to the rightwingnuttery;
If our media is all so "liberal", then WHY are the rightwingnuts SO OPPOSED to reinstating the Fairness Doctrine???

Funny how in 5 years asking I have not yet received a single answer from the rightwingnuttery on this question...

*Yes, I know the answer; as with everything the rightwingnuts say, the "liberal media" is nothing but rightwingnut bullshit. Which they know. Which is why they don't answer the question. To do so would PROVE that they know they're just lying POS.

1. It's better business to be persecuted
That way you can dismiss anything you don't like as persecution, and anything you DO like is "a rare example of fair and balanced coverage". It's a way of winning arguments without having to win them.

Just look at Big Religion. Everytime someone tells them they can't force the Bible on schoolkids against their will, they scream they're being persecuted.

3. I dislike nasty whiney crybaby kids, which is why I despise rightwingnuts
They're immature stupid whiney nasty crybabies who will never be happy. If half of Americans were mass-graved (the liberal half), if the entire world was mass-graved, except for the rightwingnuttery in America, they'd STILL whine and cry about being persecuted.

That and they're so damn STUPID.

GAWD I DETEST RIGHTWINGNUTS!

2. The best situation is
to be portrayed as the victim when you hold all the power.

Funny, they used to argue that it would be unconstitutional because of the plethora of TV and radio stations. With media consolidaiton in the 90s I really wonder if that argument would still hold water.

Your retort is excellent.

6. Pick off the rightwingnut followers
The ones who have been duped into believing the "liberal media" myth. Get those right wingers fired up about getting their Republican Government to make the biased "liberal media" (Democratic) be more fair to the other side with some kind of "Fairness Doctrine." Spin their BS spin by making them feel like the victims of the powerful elite liberals and their "liberal media." Some will jump on it, pass it around, and scream for a Fairness Doctrine against those elite liberals and all of their Dan Rather liberals in the media, no offense to Rather.

Of course, do not say anything about them having to follow the same rules.
