They did a half-debate, half-stand-up-comedy road show for a few years.

Liddy is crippled, relative to modern Neoconservatism, by maintaining a rudimentary conscience. He has a sense of loyalty, principle, idealism, and rectitude, even if he has been on the side of the Devil a little too often. But most of his generation's conservatives are dying.

People like Liddy, McCain, Ben Stein, Pat Buchanan remain interesting because they refuse to become the children of Moloch. They're still conservative, and they still believe in many things I personally loathe, but at least they still operate from an internal sense of good and evil. The Neocons pay lip service to good and evil, but are driven by greed and deception.

I never thought I'd see the day that this could happen.
