RW IDIOT PIECE - Gannon Flap Shows Liberals in Denial
Gannon Flap Shows Liberals in Denial
By David Thibault

"I can't help wondering why the Left got so upset over Jeff Gannon (a.k.a. James Guckert) and Talon News. Was the Left more enraged by Gannon's lack of journalistic credentials and purported political bias, or because of what it considered an unpardonable sin?
No, not that he might be a homosexual hooker, but that as a homosexual hooker, he would have betrayed the liberal cause with conservative-slanted writing."
-snip-
"Gannon's lack of journalistic experience: How many times have we seen entertainers with no past journalism experience plopped in the television or radio anchor chair to pontificate on the issues of the day and ask questions of guests? Is someone like John McEnroe a journalist? No more than a Janeane Garafalo or an Al Franken."
-snip-

"Homosexuality, at its core, is about narcissism and self-loathing. But the Left is demonstrating another of its common characteristics in the Gannon flap - denial. They want the world to believe that exposing Gannon's journalistic bona fides, or lack thereof, is their ethical responsibility. "
But don't be fooled. The Jeff Gannon controversy is about sex and turning the political tables on Left Wing ideologues he should have known would seek revenge and personal destruction. It's nothing more than that.

1. Showing their signs of idiocy - equating John McEnroe/Janeane Garafalo
/Al Franken as being in the same elite company as a guy who could get fake credentials and get in that easily to the press conferences (and on a "first-name basis" with the interviewees).

I mean, has John McEnroe, Janeane, or Franken had the opportunity to ask the pResident a question?

How many times have we shown that you have to pass a background check just to get into a fundraiser?

They're either total f*cking hypocrits or willingly anencephalitic.

11. Have they called themselves "Washington Bureau chief" or even "journalist"
What I really wanna know, the moran who wrote this dribble, is he really that STUPID, or does he just think other rightwingnuts are that STUPID to swallow such incredibly obvious total illogical bullshit?

2. So THAT'S what homosexuality is about.
Narcissism and self-loathing, huh? I always thought it was about getting your rocks off with a person of the same gender and having fabulous fashion sense - oh, well, whatever...

3. Consider the source
CNSNews, a rightwing source, was still publishing articles claiming Saddam had WMD and ties to terrorism long after U.S. intelligence, and the 9/11 Commission, proved otherwise.

4. what this idiot seems to forget is that
Edited on Thu Feb-17-05 01:02 PM by Blue_Roses
Gannon or whatever the hell his name is was pushing a rwing agenda while living a hypocritical life. It's not about whether he was a reporter or not as much as the hypocrisy.

6. Nope - hypocrisy angle is DOA
THE angle for this story is: How did a fake reporter, with a fake name, working for a fake news company, get within 10 feet of the president in times of such extraordinary security measures? This means that either security is not a real issue for this WH but rather an excuse, or that this WH is incompetent at security enforcement.

9. or it means...
that Gannon was welcomed there because he was WORKING FOR THEM. It's not about incompetent security. His presence implies acceptance and the acceptance implies collusion.

15. Yes and someone in the Secret Service HAD to allow him to be cleared.
Never mind the illicit websites. He was operating under an alias, that in itself is unthinkable, unless he is a government operative.

Congressional Intelligence committees need to be asking some hard questions.

5. Narcissism AND self loathing?
I guess that's like how bush is a "man of the people" and yet still an elitist.
