Jon Stewart really said it this time.
Blogs are more interesting than CNN. And now the news media will have to put that in their pipe and smoke it. The fact is that the media sucks. But why? Ultimately because while News media has credintials, the blogs are reporting the facts that the news media is not reporting. I have heard things here six months before they broke into the mainstream media I know that first hand. Which explains why when you hear it in the Washington Post, you hear it twelfth.

1. It's simple.
There isn't a Woodward out there who's looking to crack the big investigative piece. Why? Because the media conglomerates aren't paying them to do that. They're being paid to look the other way. So why do they EVER report on half of this shit? When it becomes too big to turn a blind eye to.

2. Also Woodward is a lying Bushco POS.
Edited on Thu Feb-17-05 02:13 PM by Melodybe
The Washington Post has been whoring for Bushco since the Reagan administration.

10. The point is we don't have someone investigate Watergate anymore.
Not really that I like Woodward.

12. Oh jeez, look in the mirror, Matthews.
If ever there was someone who tossed aside their principles to keep their face on TV, Chris Matthews is it.

I'll bet he didn't have one neuron firing that recognized the irony.

4. People in the corporate media do occasionally bring up real news.
It's always done off the cuff, and they're almost always fired for it. No- I mean they almost always "resign" soon afterwards.

5. Oh man, I was dying and crying
when that "Ted Hitler" character was squalling at bloggers to do something productive instead of bird-dogging reporters, like "investigate the White House, you would NOT BELIEVE what they're getting away with over there!"

That was sooo perfect.

13. I was freaking out while I watched it! I couldn't believe the way
they stomped all over the Gannon story and the MSM. It was breathtaking! I was so proud of our blogger friends. YAY FOR JON STEWART!

7. That's been obvious for quite awhile now

I never listen to "mainstream" media anymore. Its propaganda is as transparent as "Jeff Gannon" in his birthday suit.

I've lost count on the number of times the WP and NYT have apologized for their shitty reporting.

9. Operation Mockingbird is catching up with MSM. About time to
let the entire public in on this little bit of dirty laundry. CNN and PsyOps article in Counterpunch should have back in 2000 but nobody reads in American anymore...they're counting on it.
