1. ABC Cap Cities used to be called the CIA Network back when
Bill Casey was DCI and wouldn't sell off his stock in CapCities. Wonder how James Bamford ever got his books published (Puzzle Palace and Body of Secrets), since the place must have been thick with these Operation Mockingbirders.

The CIA's media manipulations will have to come out someday. Maybe sooner than we think. It's been going on for over sixty years now. Payola, favors, info on the sly...But you gotta go along or you get cut out of the loop and miss da scoop !

4. I'm glad someone else is following Operation Mockingbird.
I think about that every single day lately.

3. I forgot about that!
O'Reilly was the host of "Inside Edition" back in the late '80's-early '90's wasn't he? Considering the Faux News Network took Geraldo as well, I guess their standards for journalistic integrity are pretty low. Maybe they should have Geraldo open Saddam Hussein's hidden vault for ratings.

5. In fact, south FL is an intell 'old folks home' , no wonder
National Enquirer is based down there. All during the '60's build up against Castro. Book "The Fish is Red" by Warren Hinkle spells most of this out.

6. I really believe O'Reilly
has fantasies of being a celebrity. And not a Faux News one, but a real Brad Pitt-like one. Inside Edition was more of a celebrity-whore type of program. He couldn't cut it there, so he became their most vocal critic. Funny how quickly he shut his big mouth when George Clooney offered him a spot during Tsunami Aid telethon.

9. I think he's a sociopath
Edited on Fri Feb-18-05 12:08 PM by GloriaSmith
The man deludes himself into thinking that he's more important than he really is. It seems to go beyond just a healthy dose of arrogance. He tells lies about himself that are easily caught (Peabody award) and he has serious power issues (harrassing his assistant). The man is just weird and the more TV time he gets, the worse he becomes.

7. ABC radio in NY area is wall to wall blowhards for many years
And I didn't spot Bill Scnheider as AEI untill he commented on the stealing of the election in 2000. Come to think of it, up to the point, I was oblivious about everything.
A lot of the present whores (Dildo Reilly, Geraldo) were possibli oblivious as well at one time and then gradually (and easily) coopted. Some like Brit Hume were GOP operatives which later turned "journalists" - not so much unlike Gannon.

8. I remember when that blowhard O'Reilly
did the sports in Boston (For Channel 56, I think.) He was a self-important bastard then and he still is. At least nobody cared when all he was bloviating about was sports.
