Poll question: Is America an Oligarchy first and foremost?
From that grumpy old guy Webster:

Main Entry: ol·i·gar·chy
Pronunciation: 'ä-l&-"gär-kE, 'O-
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural -chies
Date: 1542
1 : government by the few
2 : a government in which a small group exercises control especially for corrupt and selfish purposes; also : a group exercising such control
3 : an organization under oligarchic control

Please vote and then comment on whether an Oligarchy is desirable or if you believe it to be not such a desirable form of Government.

Another thing, I'm not refering to just BushCo. or Republicans, it's the whole package emminant Liberals & Dems included.

8. Sorry
I tried for the last 45 seconds to think of something witty to write here; I just can't think of a thing-

I just hate seeing brilliance relegated to the second page of GD; naturally, in my opinion, that is whatever falls from your fingertips to the keyboard-

12. I think that the site that you linked is a great overview of what the...
...Oligarchs do.

They use the Industry leaders to, well, enrich a certain population of well paid workers and fuck everyone else.

Nice link!

17. Either or really. Semantics I suppose.
But I think the word "Oligarchy" is simply more ominous than the over used "Plutocracy".

You know that the Heinz Family is part of this system, no?
