Just FYI - Mike's only going to do the first 2 hours of his program tonight because his sister died very unexpectedly today.

Friday night's program will be a "best of Malloy." Also, Mike will not be filling in for Randi Rhodes Monday afternoon 2/21/05. However, Mike will be substituting for Randi the following Monday and each Monday thereafter until her return.

Mike does plan to return to work this Monday night 2/21/05 and will host his regular evening program LIVE every night next week from Toledo Ohio.

So this is really devastating for Mike and what's left of his family right now. Plus, his sister's husband of 35 years lost HIS father about a year ago. He is beside himself.

Dear Mike,

May the God of Love hold you, surround you with all the love of the universe, in the midst of this terrible loss. Love does not die, dear Michael, but will be there for you again at the end.

And for now, let the anger go, just release it into the grief you feel for your sister...and grieve for our country, and our earth, our world....

And give yourself maybe another week off first. Or at least half the week. Find someplace to walk along the lakeshore, feel the wind, even the rain. You need to let yourself grieve, and feel, and sort things out a little before coming right back to a stressful job.

After all, we are all so small, even though Americans think ourselves mighty. We are small, but we are so big and wonderful together! And all the love you expressed to your sis over the years, THAT is what is powerful! More powerful than all the hate in the world! And I hope you can really FEEL the love here for you, and know how much love there is for you all over this country!

God is FOR you, child. FOR YOU, no matter how devastated you are feeling now. Ask him, and in the midst of a family death, you will often experience amazing little signs.
