Is this country so callous and desensitized that this kind of thing passes for vacation photos from Club Med? The captions are the epitome of sadistic and evil behavior. 1. Yes, these photos should get out into MSM

Like that girl in VietNam, after getting napalmed. Perhaps people might realize there is more going on in the world than "Survival" and other such "reality" tv shows. These pictures are grotesque. They should be seen.

Though yes, the captions are very dark humor to dead people and body parts. Black humor is used when one cannot continue to only cry, but is easily misunderstood.

captions.

The service members who SEND IN the photos write the captions. There is a little blurb about it right on the front page.

I think it's important for people to see what war DOES to soldiers. To see how inhumane some of them become because of this.

5. What boggles my mind are the captions. Joking around about something

so incredibly horrible that has happened to a fellow human being is just unbelievable. It's like it's just a big joke. "Ha, ha, ha look at that, I blew that guy's head off. Wait, let me get a picture for my scrapbook." This kind of behavior makes the Nazis look like choir boys. And the fact that this depraved psycho thought it was OK to take dozens of pictures of the most brutally maimed and killed Iraqis as if it was nothing but a video game, mixing them in with ordinary tourist photos of Iraq, and then actually posting them as if he thought others would be entertained. God, I really hate this country right now. I am just completely outraged.

I posted here about that website about a month ago and it got little attention.

Why would the MSM pay attention to it? They are too busy seeing how far they can all shove their heads up repuke asses.

13. I saw this a few weeks ago...and the feeling of horror has never left...

I was so upset, a few weeks ago, when someone posted a link to this site. I saw the pictures and the sociopathic comments and it truly made me sick to my stomach.

I cannot believe that site is still up!

A DUer suggested that rescue personnel will often make jokes about disasters to cope with the horror. The poster made a good point and was kind about his theory, but I thought it was bunk. I was too upset to argue.

I can understand a situation in which an EMT--who has just witnessed tragedy--makes a joke or tries to lighten up a very tense moment--during or immediately after a traumatic event.

However, the soldiers taking these pictures and creating sardonic, leering and degrading captions to accompany these photos--have plenty of time in between the trauma and the caption writing to "come down" from the stress. Furthermore, EMTs don't create Web sites that showcase severed heads, dead bodies and mutilated human parts with jokes next to the pictures.

This kind of "project" suggests that these soldiers have gone numb. They've been turned into little psychopaths who have lost respect for human life and for their own humanity. I think this demonstrates signs of severe PTSD. PTSD puts a person in a state of emotional suspension--until the trauma is over and they feel safe enough to feel again. They only way someone could take these pictures, then later write funny and inhumane captions--is if they've totally divorced themselves from basic human emotion.

I imagine that PTSD is exacerbated when soldiers realize that they are expendable objects being used by an administration that views them as a means to a very selfish, misguided, unattainable end.

This entire site is a tragedy. It's also a shame that it remains up--for all the world to surmise that Americans are a bunch of heartless, jerks who snicker and revel in the death of innocent people.

This makes me very sad--once again. :(
