What does it mean when fundies go into a frenzy of re-marrying each
other?

I mean they now have a new type of marriage. And this is very symbolic and all. Also a sign of just how messed up things are.

I have a cat - and when it is too anxious it will just start scratching and scratching ... all for no reason. But the cat had been frightened by my suitcase out and getting packed or something.
So it goes and does something that doesn't really make any difference and doesn't really mean anything. But it feels better.

No Liberal wanted to do anything to their marriage. Their marriage is their own business. Nobody wanted to end their marriage or aloud gay people to get married at their particular church. But somehow they feel so vulnerable.

Will they get married a third time? And will gop/neocons/rovbots leave them alone to move on with life and with their marriage.

1. I think they are responding to the critique

That it is heterosexuals that have messed up marriage. Trying to set a better example. Good for them, I hope they are satisfied with the change.

3. Exactly - it was an invention that their marriages were important
It is their own business. The anxiety is getting lobbed around like a tennis ball.

2. It's silly isn't it? I wonder what these folks are afraid of anyway?
I'm trying to be nice here - but I have to wonder about the mental stability of people who have strange insecurities like this...

6. Even worse, they KNOW they can't be right.
With so many people who don't believe living perfectly normal and happy lives, they are sure to be angry (jealous) about that.

4. I saw a story on this in the Corporate News Media - "Covenant Marriage"
They re-do the ceremony and it has much stricter guidelines about what they can and can't do and is also sets extremely rigid, narrow guidelines for what is an acceptable reason for divorce.

It is just another way for these people to try to change the way others think and behave. They are trying (and on many counts succeeding) to gain control of the US and the world, and remake it according to their interpretation of the Bible.

Take a look at the articles below for a glimpse of what these people are up to. It may seem alarmist at first, but as you read the articles and follow up on the extensive documentation, it becomes very disturbing and very sobering.

8. I don't think they are trying to change other people's marriages
at least not with this new ceremony and form. They are just altering their own marriages

9. god knows we don't want them to get divorces and unleash
themselves on the rest of the world...forget covenant, I say let them make SUPERGLUE marriages.

The Gannon story is clear evidence that God is getting sick of all this praying in the streets and this holier than thou bullshit. He's taking them down one by one.

10. My point still is that they did this to themselves and now roam
the country and marry & remarry. When if the thing they were talking about was so excellent and worth protecting ... then they just need to look into each other's eyes and say: we really mean it.

My point is: look what the neocon/gopelites/rovbots have done to these sorry people. Even their own marriages (it be a private thing) are not good enough anymore. It is about 'trophy hunting' and 'labels' and ' new badges' more than it is about the contents of their hearts. How sad is that.

11. It's a segregation thing...
Now, that they've figured out Democrats also get married.

They feel they need a separate, but, equal (in the Orwellian
sense) marriage.

So they can say their marriage is better than ours.

12. A doubly-reinforced hetero marriage
is even more resistant to the threat of gay marriages... or something like that. Kind of like the extra armor plating on Humvees.

15. If you look into the cage of a gerbil - it will get all worried and then

jump on a wheel, and run and run and run to nowhere. Why? The fear of being small.
