The real Domino Theory at play in the Middle East.
Remember the Domino Theory trotted out as the reason for the Vietnam War? That said if we don't make a stand in Vietnam, the Communist Chinese will soon overrun Asia from Thailand to Korea to even India.

Now I think the real Domino Theory is at work in Iraq. Soon Syria, Iran, Lebanon,Sudan, and others will be lined up as satellites in the American Empire with stooges like Chalabi running the show.

History repeats itself, first time as tragedy and the second time as farce.Only the tragedy for common people killed and maimed remains unchanged.

just who toppled over the original domino that got the chain rolling don't it?

2. IMO, it's the reverse Domino Theory. In 1979, my rabbi talked about
the Middle East in terms of the DT, but it was about the Iran becoming militantly islamic by the Ayatollah Khomeini (who had just returned from exile in Paris). This change was to have destabilized the region with other countries becoming susceptible to governments converting from secular organizations to that of theocracies. Iraq was projected as the next Iran. Then Lebanon. And the new governments would be hostile to non-islamic, western countries. They would still trade with the West, but the price of commodities, say oil, would be tilted more in their favor.

3. The Mideast-Democratic-Reverse-Domino Theory is the PNAC plan.
If we just convert one of those pesky dictatorial/theocratic states to western-style democracy, the others will see how great it is and popular uprisings (with a little outside assistance) will turn them too.

In no time the entire Middle East will be pro-American, Israel-friendly democracies!

Hooray!

4. Domino? Iraq only demonstrated how limited US military capabilities are.
Problem is, the Chimpsters are among the few who don't grasp this. Limited intelligence capabilities, indeed.
