Protester throws shoe at Richard Perle
Sorry if this is a dupe. This is a great article: Dean comes off looking great, and Perle comes off looking like either a raging asshole or a blithering idiot (take your pick).

1. A great line ...
But, Perle added, “I will be surprised, yet again, if we do not see a square in Baghdad named after this president.” He did not specify a time.

I'm sure the Iraqis will lovingly do it.

2. These are great remarks about Iraq from Dean.....
SNIP..."“Defense is a lot broader than swaggering around saying you’re going to kick Saddam’s butt,” Dean said Thursday, drawing cheers from the crowd in this city that overwhelmingly voted Democratic last November.

Perle said the war in Iraq was justified based on the intelligence available at the time. “Sometimes the things we have to do are objectionable to others,” he said.

'Low hanging fruit'
Dean also said the Bush administration has ignored the mounting threat in Iran and North Korea. “We picked the low hanging fruit in Iraq and did nothing” about the other, more dangerous regimes, he said...."

Perle's remark is highly objectionable to me.

3. Don't have to choose. He's both!
I like Dean's enthusiasm. I think he will be great for the party. He may bring some spunk and some fight into it. Too many Dems have been running around asking themselves what they did wrong, how they need to rearrange their platform and ideals. Dean should be able to put things back into perspective and focus.

6. Perle's comments about a Square in Baghdad being named for B*
shows exactly where there priorities are; writing history favorable to themselves, and ignoring the clusterf*** they created.

It's all about image and ideology to the neocons isn't it?

8. And the fact that they still think Iraqis are happy with their situation
Shows how delusional they are (or the fact that they just don't give a shit).
