This Gannon story needs to be blown wide open in MSM before
this administration invents some crisis to divert attention away from it 'cause from the looks of the blogs and editorials this morning from major newspapers, this story has legs longer than a 12 year old giraffe--and they're getting longer. It sounds like this guy has been privy to classified information for a while now and that in itself is serious grounds for an immediate investigation--not to mention the other "activities" he had going on on the side.

7. Well, that would explain why YOU think that the story will never be...
...alive, not why it's "already dead."

11. Not true
Cox and NY Times both had major pieces today.

But this will not be tried by the MSM, you are right, that is the job of federal investigators and prosecutors. Slaughter and Conyers are birddogging this.

4. I wouldn't be so quick about that.
I think we have the tip of the iceberg only, and the lower down it goes, the more names are going to be involved. In the Washingto sex ring if nothing else. Then corpses will start turning up, "suicides".

This could, if handled properly bust a mile-wide hole right through the militaristic religious right wing righteousness.

And liberal and moderate journalists that have been shit all over for four years may use their pens to keep spreading this out, hoping to use it as a wedge to get some of their power back.

10. This Is Still The Undercurrent
and it'll stay that way for a while. It's a "nuisance" story that is easily "bully-pulpited" over by some White House orchestrated media event every day.

There's still a lot of this story that is unfolding...and appears the knives are starting to come out, but this is a little blood in a massive ocean. The corporate media will marginalize this story until its forced to do otherwise. It will take a lot more blogging, publishing and evidence that will force them to take sides...their checkbooks or their credibility.

This is also developing into a battle between corporate media and what it can't control. The large media conglomerates have worked hard the past 25 years to eliminate competition and means that others can compete and don't like these "kids sitting in mom's basement" one bit. As Colbert says, "the only thing they have are facts"....

13. The proliferation of bloggers
might not be quite as prolific if there weren't so many underemployed/unemployed tech-savvy Americans out there.

Shoulda thought about that before they destroyed our economy and launched perpetual war.
