UPDATE: Looks like my caveat at the bottom of this post was correct. I've communicated with two sources who have confirmed that the White House hard pass for correspondents is different than the one Gannon was wearing in that photo. The head shot is in the wrong place, the words, etc. This still begs the question of exactly what ID was he wearing, since it's not clear he was working for anyone at the time.

I'm sure this has been posted before, but it bears repeating, since we should all be on the same page.

Talon photo ID. Obviously it was made to look like a hard pass. My question is where was the day pass ?

Or, perhaps he was in with no pass at all - just a self-generated phony thing that said "butt boy" in small print as a joke. Someone should ask Rove about special passes for special guys.

Guckert just put his own lanyard and laminate on it. It's definitely not a hard pass. Read the transcript of KO, he said it wasn't.
