Thank you Hollywood Billboard Bush Photo Vandalized

We previously reported the conservative group, Citizens United, planned to erect two pro-Bush billboards in Hollywood "thanking" Hollywood for Bush's reelection. As planned, the signs were created, coinciding with the buildup to Oscar night. However, one of those tongue-in-cheek billboards was seriously vandalized Wednesday night, when a Swastika was painted on President Bush's forehead.

Few Angeleans saw the disfigured sign though, since Citizens United anticipated the vandalism, and had previously arranged with the sign company that their billboards would be immediately repaired if, in fact, they were damaged.

True to their word, the overnight damage was repaired within hours.

Keep after it you vandals. :evilgrin: Anyone ever tag the Clear Channel ones?

Their images are valuable commodities. Can I put up a billboard with Whoopi's face advertising my clothing company? Or do I need to hire her first and write a contract?

But it is clear that the Right is trying to make Hollywood an "enemy of America"...as it did in the 50's.

I agree also that the billboard will be continually vandalized in that area. I don't know much about paint ball guns, but assume creative "artists" could achieve their goal without being close enough for surveillance?

Celebrities should "counter" with their own billboards nearby.

Sarcastic billboards - a sort of "I won in spite of you bitches...Kiss my ass," message from Bush to Hollywood.

He may make fun of the stars but he would LOOOOOOOOOVVVVVE to have them on HIS side.

I hope the graffeetii taggers come up with something creatively destructive that cannot be easily and quickly repaired. Spilled Paint or something that covers it up. I hope the guards are called out to cover some other event and have to leave the signs unprotected.

... we should go out of our way to defend lovely billboards like this. Because apparently we must act as the American Billboard Civil Liberties Union or something.

rather than snickering about a missed shoe tossed at a vile monster with blood dripping from his little claws, we should instead make a single protestor a punching bag for the entire left or something.
