When will these folks get tired of spewimg out what they are fed? Will we ever get real reporting back? Real hard digging expose' reports? Everything that comes out now follows the administration spin to the letter with an occasional, cynical. backhanded mention of an opposing view.

Damn, we are such sheep. I'm hooked up with AAR now, but I fear for the majority who accept the prop that they are fed daily. You hear it in almost every conversation about politics or current events. No objective, critical reasoning, just the admin line repeated as gospel. We are f***ed!

2. I may be naive, but I do remember some cynicism from the press

towards the government line. I can't find any these days. The attitude seems to be that if the officials say it it must have some truth and that should be the starting point of the debate, but the first line from these govt. shills is always BS these days. The press eats it up. Opposing views are treated like the compromised liars instead of the obvious tendency of the powerstructure to do and say anything to preserve and hold on to power and influence. A handful of corporatists are speaking for the majority of Americans and we're eating it up like sugar soup.

CIA? Ha! I don't think we really know who they are anymore. Now we have Negroponte as our new Big Brother. Democracy? Ha!
