If there's a Progressive Paradigm... What Is It?
In another thread I ventured the opinion that Progressives in the US needed to have an internally consistent paradigm where policy proposals flowed naturally from core values. Some suggested I was wrong... that there was such a paradigm but I don't see any that compares in structure to what Libertarians have. I suspect some confuse Democratic Party issues with such a paradigm.

So what is this paradigm and what specifically are those core values?

3. It's a tough one. I'm good at identifying paradigms
yet, maybe when you're in one, you can't see it?

I agree than often the normal state for most is to live in a fog of unstated assumptions. I believe this describes the Democratic Party. For example a bedrock principle that is never explicitly stated is Dems refuse to question the moral legitimacy of our anti-democratic federal system.

But is requiring such political psychoanalysis to understand what a party or a political philosphy stands for acceptable? If the core values are not explicitly stated, it can't be called a paradigm.. can it?

Plase tell me you expect out of Progressives in the US!
