What about this scenario on Gannon
Edited on Sat Feb-19-05 05:35 AM by shraby
The man is an unknown gay prostitute with not much income who comes to the attention of Rove and company. They approach him with a deal he can't refuse..."we'll set up some websites for you, pay you X amount of money, and in return we'll give you material for some columns to write for us and ask questions at the White House press that we give you. Gannon isn't the brightest card in the deck, and it means wearing a suit, rubbing elbows with the people in the White House and writing and saying what they want isn't all that bad..no skin off his nose, plus he might pull in a few bucks from the websites without having to hustle all the time. Not to mention the bucks he gets for the typewriter work.

Only problem is, it all went to shit for him because they gave him some stuff to say that raised the alert level of the bloggers, Rove has a cover in the prostitute line because that will be the main topic of conversation in the blogs and news. Gannon takes the flak and if he talks, he gets Hatfielded.

In light of his response to Anderson Cooper tonight when asked about his name and replied "that's whats on my drivers license" it's possible they even gave him a new identity just for this assignment.

1. No, here's my scenerio...
The websites were already there.

One day, Rove ordered up the hooker, and got to know Gannon. Then, as a cover, Rove decided to have Gannon claim to be a reporter. Talon credentials were created.

Then, as the romance between Rove and Gannon blossomed, and Gannon became more trusted, he got bigger assignments, such as the role of "investigative journalist" for discovering Rove's various forged documents.

Love is blind, Gannon wanted to move up in the reporter biz, and Rove, having gotten away with his affair for two years, got careless.

3. With a "nick" like Turdblossum?
And just because he remembers what * was wearing when they first met?

4. Or Rove was pimping for the Male Cheerleader
at an all-male prep school

Victor Ashe's "friend"

The man who said to the Canadian PM that his "Scott" was prettier than my "Scott"

The man who said "It's been a 'fabulous' year for Laura and me."

And don't forget "Karen Hughes is with us. A West Texas girl, just like me."

It's not Karl Rove saying these things.

5. I believe this scenario is the correct one
Although the almost TOTAL press lockdown on this story makes me want to think that Gannon's John was Dubya himself.

"John in the White House" is the simplest scenario that makes the fewest assumptions and explains everything. As such, it passes the Occam's razor test perfectly.

7. nice interpretation!
goes with Gannon's line about "the job I was given to do" (paraphrase, but close) in the Cooper interview, too.
