Take back the Media

As long as the RW controls the media, there will never be honesty in the news, Fox will be known as 'fair and balanced', we will have to deal with lies coming from groups such as the Swift Liars, and we may never win an election again.

It's brainstorm time. We need ideas to take back create a New Media, and this time it would be OK to call it the Liberal Media.

Every day, the lies get worse and more unbelievable, but I believe the number of Conservatives is getting larger. Why? Not because they are stupid, but because they want to believe that the Republican Party is some Savior. Our country is in danger, but it is from the people who the Conservatives believe is their Savior.

Every day and even every hour is precious, we need to do something NOW.

2. Blogs are having some impact

Most of the corporate media is starting to badmouth the blogs I think they are worried that their little one sided world is being questioned. Link tv "deomarcy now" is not to bad they don't have nearly the money they need to make an impact, they do tend to report on issues the main stream and cable stations don't, maybe they should be supported more, they need some big bucks to back them. Michael Moore and friends and alot of us?

3. What I have done.......

I have emailed all the News programs, local newspapers, and told them that I don't watch them, read them anymore because I want the truth and ALL of the news, not just what they want me to hear. I have really stopped watching/reading those media outlets! Okay, I watch Kieth O. on MSNBC, but that is all! Imagine if everyone did this, wouldn't these propaganda puppets be forced to report the whole truth? Isn't it about ratings/money?

4. Please ditch cable and get a dish. Free Speech TV and Link TV

ARE the new media. Both are totally independent, supported by viewers only. Unlike NPR/PBS, they do not operate on corporate funds.

Best part: Both are HIGHLY progressive.

Both have the great news program, Democracy Now hosted by award winning journalist Amy Goodman. News you won't normally hear from, as she calls them, "the corporate media."

I have a post today in General/Politics listing a couple of shows today on FSTV, including "When They Came For Ward Churchill."

MSM doesn't bother me anymore, I don't watch any of it. The more people turn it off, the quicker it goes AWAY.
