Heat from press rises on White House over Gannon

By John Byrne | RAW STORY Editor

A broad array of mainstream publications and television networks are aggressively pursuing various angles of the burgeoning scandal surrounding discredited White House reporter Jeff Gannon, RAW STORY has learned.

Washington sources tell RAW STORY that calls are flying around the District as much of the mainstream press seeks to catch up with online reporting–including some from such prestigious magazines as The New Yorker.

>>snip<<

Major newspapers, such as the New York Times, may also run Sunday pieces detailing all of the information that has come to light on the Internet to date.

>>more<<

So after failing to minimize bloggers they are picking up the story. I'm particularly interested to see if the New Yorker has a piece. They're one of the few publications that's not afraid of digging deep and calling it as they see it.

Maybe this story does have legs.

1. It has legs, alright! I'm particularily pleased that CBS has decided to
FIGHT BACK! Good for them! maybe we should engage in an e-mail blitz to applaud their gutsy behavior! It couldn't hurt to let them know that the American people are behind them in this fight! Something tells me that this story is about to become A HUGE PROBLEM for Shrub! What a shame.:nopity:

10. I totally agree.
We really do need to show our support. We have an opportunity here to get our media back. We've been subjected to this administration's underhanded use of the media for its lies & deceptions for four long, excruciating years; this is a golden opportunity to uncover this administration's dirty work & to hold it accountable for its unethical hold on the media.

4. But MSM cannot bring itself to mention Operation Mockingbird or
PysOps in the newsroom. The MSM are the true prostitutes in the real story behind Gannon/Guckert.

Alternative media reports on "CNN and PsyOps" by counterpunch's Alexander Cockburn back in 2000, and not a peep from MSM.

Alternative media reports on Operation Mockingbird (CIA Media Manipulation) and again not a peep from MSM.

For 2 and 1/2 years MSM ignores 'Gannon' and is complicit in his activity -- shilling for the Bush Administration and its war machine's domestic operations.

Do the disinformation overseas, but don't expect true Americans to sit still for being lied to.

12. And he was bothered by "the angry mob surrounding his house"
one weekend -- enough to have "Gannon" bring it up during a WH briefing on WH policies.

His fingerprints are all over this scandal.

11. OMG!Someone thought Karl was hot! comment from Raw Story
link here, fifth comment.

I have a pretty good idea how Gannon got the WH press pass.

I am a gay white male. In 1970 I was the national committeeman for the Young Republicans from a Southern state. I attended the YR National Convention in June of 1970 in Phonex, AZ. I met K. Rove at the convention and went to the bar for drinks.
We had sex at the Del Web Townhouse we left the bar. I was in the closet until I was in my 40’s. Karl needs to get out of the closet.

Connect the dots.

16. Not to be crude, but
Ok, to be crude...

Maybe "Turd Blossom" = "Chocolate Starfish"? Kind of similar.

My apologies if I'm offending anyone (except Karl). Not my intention.
