I got to thinking about JimJeff’s appearance on CNN yesterday. Jim Guckert, a.k.a. Jeff Gannon, would have us believe that he went from “Guckert” to “Gannon” (1) because he wanted us remember him and (2) because “Guckert” was just to darn hard to pronounce.
But, as for going from “Jim” to “Jeff,” JimJeff wasn’t able to come up with an explanation.
As evidenced by the links below, we know that he began using the name “Jeff” prior to January 27, 2000. (See the first link.) We also know that he had second thoughts about using the name “Jeff” and subsequently went back to change his prostitute handle to “Bulldog.” (See second link.)
http://tinyurl.com/6mxofhttp://tinyurl.com/3oc6mYou probably noticed that once he removed the name “Jeff” from the listing, he felt comfortable enough to post a handsome photo of himself.
BUT HERE’S THE THING: Why would he go back and change his name from “Jeff” to “Bulldog” unless “Jeff” was a name by which he was already known? That is, why would he cover his tracks if there were no tracks to be covered?
And being that he, as proven above, started using the name “Jeff” long before his (known) relationship with GOPUSA, is it not logical to assume that he also started using the corresponding last name of “Gannon” long before his (known) relationship with GOPUSA?
What was “Jeff” doing prior to 2000, and why was “Jim” cut out of the loop?
