13. The redtail has a white area just below the chin.

It doesn't help that both the Swainson's and the redtail seem to have light and dark color morphs. There was a white redtail that lived in the vicinity of my Fresno apartment with a normally-colored mate. I saw it frequently.

I'm no raptor expert, so I won't vouch for the headshot definitely being that of a redtail. It's definitely not the wrong (or golden) eagle, though. :D Should we call golden eagles the "wrong" eagles from now on?

I think they picked the hawk up off of Interstate 20 on one of those phone poles. Much easier and less expensive.
