Any news on FreeRepublics Gannon/Guckert rally Fri?
Did anyone hear anything more about this? Did it happen, did anyone show up, did anyone take pictures of rightwingers supporting male prostitutes right to a private life?

1. Don't know, but I found it hilarious that they were all to meet
at what they called the "Monica Lewinsky Entrance".

More fitting than they'd like, perhaps.

2. I think there was probably only one or two people...
probably why I haven't heard anything about it.

3. Boo-Hoo in Freeperville.
Yesterday in the small-minded town of Freeperville they declared this announcement:

DEMONSTRATION IN SUPPORT OF JEFF GANNON

WHEN: FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2005, 6 P.M. TO 8 P.M.

WHERE: THE NORTHWEST VISITORS ENTRANCE

THE WHITE HOUSE, 1600 PENNSYLVANIA AVE., NW, WASHINGTON, D.C.

All the Freepion’s where ecstatic and “ping-ing” each other like “The Bush” was going to be there too anoint them with Holy Saudi Sweet Crude. Today in Freeperville there are cries of despair and the mumbling of “OMG we have to ditch this Gannon scandal”. Life is not so happy in Freeperville, the Bad Libby’s have started to tie “The Bush” with the scandal. The Freepions are worried, not about all the corruption inside the White House, they are worried this Gay Prostitute has had a quid pro quo with their leaders.

The after-report of the Demonstration doesn’t look good, with all the Ann Coulter’s in town for the Conservative Conference none seemed to give their support and skipped the big event.

4. A raging disconnect
The raging disconnect our neighbors at FR possess is mind-boggling... one of my fav's from the sordid thread--

To: middie
If the journalist imposter had come from a source at the other end of the political spectrum this site would be raging at the audacity and arrogance of the conduct.

Reply:
Yes, but I warrant we would not countenance the step of elected officials dictating to the press who qualifies as a journalist, or dictating to other branches of government who they can credential at press conferences. Unless you think that we've grown past the principle of a free press, and that smear campaigns against targeted reporters, managed or abetted by elected officials, are acceptable.
