Anyone else confused by all the developments in Gannongate?
I'm trying to keep up, but it's hard to keep track of everything. My head is spinning! :)

Of course, I guess this is good, because it means the story is NOT going away.

admittedly, I've only had time to check CNN and my local paper, but still.

3. Print media seems to be backing away from it. Two more days and the TV
will stop mentioning it.

11. Pitt Post-Gazette, local papers. If it were big, it would at least be in
P-G. Today it was in the NYT (Frank Rich)and this weekend is probably the end of the story. Hope I'm wrong.

But I'm a pessimist.

I've said this in other posts, but I'll say it again: If Bush can get away with lying about war, advocating torture and being an idiot ... he can get away with anything.

And by anything, I mean anything. Think about it: Negropointe is now the "Intelligence Czar." How brave are the bloggers going to be when people start disappearing?

9. I'm not convinced this will be a full-blown scandal either
but I'm hoping the second-term curse (a major scandal hits virtually every two-term prez) gets Bush.

10. My mother is anti-Bush, but very much into the MSM
Edited on Sat Feb-19-05 07:35 PM by deutsey
She was intrigued by the Gannon info I gave her recently over the phone, but she said she had not heard any of this on TV.

We have to start doing a better job of getting this stuff to people like my mom through TV.

My mom, as I say, is very much opposed to Bush, but she isn't a Net maven. She watches TV for a lot of her news.

We must begin putting pressure on MSM news outlets to cover stories we feel the American public (like my mom) need to hear.

Maybe WE should email and phone and talk about this (and other Bush scandals) to EVERYONE we know.
