The bloggers, who many of you in the MSM disdain, have done a lot of leg work for you in this story. Now, it's time for someone to Follow the Money in the Gannon/Guckert affair.

Clearly, someone was paying Jeff Gannon to be in the White House. Who? (And for this one, don't settle for an answer from Jeff....he hasn't been really completely accurate for some of your colleagues.)

Who funded GOPUSA/Talon News?

Did Jeff/Jim get paid by any campaigns or campaign committees? Lots of work was done for John Thune who was, in fact, paying bloggers.

Jeff, as a patriotic, god-fearing, country-loving, conservative American, MUST have been paying taxes. Wouldn't it be something to see his tax forms for the last few years?

Apparently not. He's in hot water over that.

I think this is a good question. If it's the White House or Bush's rich friends in Texas, that figures. So far, we've seen the White House hire a PR firm to produce a fake news reports (In Washington, I'm Karen Ryan reporting) about how great the admin's Medicare drug benefits are and give payola to pundits to support other initiatives. It would be consistent with that kind of thing to keep something like Talon News afloat so that Gannon could keep asking Scott McClellan and the Frat Boy himself shallow questions barbed with invective.

...and glad you have been. I'm like two or three.

The money flows through the Eberles and there's lots to find there...I say look closely at Elizabeth. There's connections to Morton Blackwell...and the Rutherford/Paula Jones cabal. There's a definite network in place and when there's networking, there's money flowing. My bets are the women do the bag work.

Thanks for your posts and links...I'm am encouraged that things I started finding a week ago are starting to bear real fruit today...hopefully when I'm looking into now will advance us to the next level. Yes, follow the money to the bitter end.

I told my son today, this already have become Dubya's "Iran-Contra"...we're gonna up the ante to "Monicagate".

Has the CIA become so emboldened that they would infiltrate the White House Press Corps, for simple reason to push the agenda of the present occupant in the White House? And how much was he getting paid?

6. "Payola-Gate" (or whatever) has to be the Achilles heel

And the Neocon think tanks couldn't have planned for the bloggers, so now there is the viscious attempt to discredit the liberal ones. The conservative ones have helped them. What I can't understand is why Blitzer and Kurtz were painting Gannon/Guckert as a victim.

This has hopefully piqued the interests of responsible journalists left in the MSM since this is their turf. Time to get some principles and some cajones. There is another Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein waiting to happen.
