Do you think the media would pick up the Gannon story if the person in question was a female reporter with a web site to be an escort to men? Do you think the prostitution that exposed him as suspicious would be more of a scandal if they weren't afraid of the gay element?

but Gannon's defense is "that was my personal life", when in fact prostitution is not legal......his sexuality would be his own personal information, had he not been paid to "perform".

I wonder if the media would pick up on this a little more, if they weren't scared of the fact that he is gay and it could come off as prying................even though the question is how did this guy get in and get called on.........it's all part of the story

I believe if Gannon/Guckert was female it would get so much play we would be sick of it already. There would be no aspect of her life that would not be open for investigation. She would cease being a human being and become a sex object. Hell, it's what our society always does. We are more comfortable with straight sex, where women play a passive role.

How do you explain gay sex to fundies and red staters? The MSM shudders at the thought of even trying. Much easier to talk about female prostitutes with a wink.
