I don't get how this man's mind works. Don't admit to drug use, because it will set a bad example for the children.

How about striving for an authentic moment. Lie about small things...lie about big things. It seems to be a way of life for this guy.

2. I think this sudden release of the tapes are a diversion

there isn't much of substance in them, imo. I do love, however, that the media is assuming bush was talking about marijuana when he said 'what he did' when it is more likely he was talking about cocaine.

This looks to me like a 'controlled' leak to grab the headlines.

6. I'm not diverted

I just thought it was an interesting insight to the man. It's more important for him to be seen doing the right thing (in his mind) than it is to be true and authentic. It's not earth shattering news, I know, but it shows his character. I think he must be really insecure.

8. More media manipulation...

There is absolutely nothing in those tapes that shed Bush in a bad light, believe me. This is just more of Karl Roves distributing "Hate Literature" about his own candidate type of thing. This shit actually makes Bush look like a "Determined American Hero" to the more gullible of our society.
