Why hasn't Gannon been arrested for prostitution already???
Why hasn't he?

The next time Howard Kurtz defends Gannon on TV as a victim of bloggers out to invade his privacy, someone should ask him "Do you think Gannon should be charged with prostitution?"

I think the reason we're not seeing this story breaking in the MSM is because a lot of the journalists themselves are being blackmailed to control the news. It's the reason why Gannon was put in the WH press pool to begin wtih. And it's not just the journalists who are being blackmailed, it's also the show producers and the network bigwigs. Closet homosexuality is probably as rampant in the news industry as it is in the clergy.

2. Not to mention an investigation as to whether or not he paid
state and federal income tax on the revenues he made as the prostitute he "was".

3. VERY good question.
I think we should write the prosecutor in DC and ask.

Who is that, btw?

11. It just pisses me off that he's talking about taking legal action against
bloggers. If he starts suing, then I hope people start demanding that charges be filed against him.

It's a pretty sad day in our legal system when citizens have to ask the police to do something that they're obligated to do in the first place.

14. On what evidence would they base a charge on?
That he posted on an Internet site?!?

16. Right, I think they have to catch someone making a specific deal.
I don't think these sites, no matter how obvious they are, form proof. Even with shots of his "8 inches," it could be claimed he was merely offering to be paid for personal training or "escort" services, and anything else was separate.

4. I've wondered the same thing.
When undercover cops initiate a sting operation all they have to do is be propositioned and the hooker just has to say a price. Well, if his picture is right there on the web along with his rates ($200/hr. or $1200/weekend) isn't that the same thing?

It's illegal to transact the business.

9. Not sure what you mean by that...
One...what would a client list prove to a prosecutor trying to prosecute for prostitution. Prostitution is a charge you more or less need to catch in the act.

reasonable cause (or whatever the correct term is) for law enforcemnt to question & investigate him & his clients? Kind of a foot in the door? They were pretty detailed.

13. A client list doesn't mean
crap. You have to almost catch them in the act of trading money for sex. Anything else can be explained a way.

10. They also have to have evidence
of him accepting money for sex. If they don't have that proof then he can simply say he provides escorts that go to various functions as a date.

15. Exactly
I had a friend who as a criminal justice major did a paper on prostitution and one of the things he looked at was the internet sites and how they could advertise. Its really simple if you look at the sites and they range from services to a single person (usually ex-pornstars) the one thing in common is that they never ever mention sex. Usually they talk about what a wonderful dinner companion they could be or something else along those lines.

26. But jeff/jim's clients talked @ positions, size, technique , etc.
as well as the other stuff! Wouldn't that prove the prostitution angle for law enforcement?

23. My wife's a DA
and said the same thing. Can you imagine locking up everyone who has a pornographic or escort site? Never happen. You have to have a receipt, pictures and a complaining client. That's why it'll never happen.

Shouldn't the IRS do an audit on this man?

My letter:

A couple years ago, when my son was 10 years old, we visted DC and stayed at the youth hostel on NW 14th(?) Street. I was not too pleased that street walkers were plying their trade in the neighborhood and within 5 blocks of the White House.

There is another prostitute in and near the White House, his name is James Dale Guckert, aka Jeff Gannon.

Why has this admitted prostitute, pimp and pornographer not been arrested by your office?

Has anyone noticed how many Gannon-apologists on DU lately? I think he SHOULD be investigated for prostitution. It's not like he was just posted on some swing board.. He was ADVERTISING for sex for money!!! He had freakin' prices listed.

20. There is something going on besides the obvious
that we can see, although that's bad enough. Why, as you ask, has no one even raised the issue of this being against the law?;( I'll repeat the ovious: if this was a Democratic administration the charges would have already been filed and the story would be on 24/7.
