WSJ: 60% of Americans want an opposition party
Americans Want an Opposition Party

"American want Democrats to stand up to Bush," the Wall Street Journal's Washington Wire reports. "Fully 60%, including one-fourth of Republicans, say Democrats in Congress should make sure Bush and his party 'don't go too far.' Just 34% want Democrats to 'work in a bipartisan way' to help pass the president's priorities."

If anyone has access to the WSJ site, will you post another snip please?

7. Actually it seems like sanity is dawning on people....
A lot of my independent/repub friends were wondering where they were going to get their leftist propoganda from when I almost lost my job.

Because I stuck to the facts and common goals like being against torture and poison in drinking water, I had some good conversations and those people went back to their red bent people and had some good conversations.

I also brought up a lot of points as to why Bush is not anyone's model for Christianity. He's screwed the pooch one too many times and he's foaming at the mouth. His people are going to abandon him, but they will try to replace him somehow.

We'll have to remain vigilant.

8. Too bad 2000, 2002 and 2004 elections didn't reflect a wish for balance
I have lost faith in American voters/voting system because before 2000, it always seemed as if voters made it clear through the polls that they wanted balance and moderation instead of this drastic and dangerous shift of power to one party.

9. This seems to indicate that Kerry did win, and Bush did a great job
of padding his numbers.

10. Good, that gives me hope
that even Republicans want the Checks and Balances in government...I was beginning to think they didn't give a shit...

maybe the 2006 election will work out after all...Buchannon said he couldn't force himself to vote for Kerry, but that he'd be sure to vote Democratic in the House and Senate seats, maybe some others will too...
