Simpsons episode warning

I guess this will be the gay marriage Simpsons episode. Odd that we need to see a warning for that but not for the countless shows that talk about hetero sex non-stop.

I've never seen desperate housewives. Do they have an adult content warning before that show? Most sexually charged networks shows do not.

So this was a nationwide disclaimer, not just one for the rural folk? I'm in Northeastern PA right now and I saw it. Seems really unnecessary to me. Like they're implying there's something pornographic about homosexuals. They don't put disclaimers like that for episodes that feature heterosexual marriages.

I don't remember if they have a disclaimer. I don't think so, but there is plenty of sex, straight sex, kinky sex and adulterious sex, as well as murder going on around Wisteria Lane.

I heard something disturbing on Laura Flanders. She had someone from or formerly from the FCC on. I was in and out so I didn't catch the whole thing, but he said that in order to avoid censorship on the air that they would have to apply community standards nationwide as to what fines would be leveled for inappropriate content involving sex and excreting (?). So did he mean that in order for community standards that were acceptable to really religious and sexually anal retentive people like the fundies, we would all have to accept their standards? I find this doublespeak really upsetting.
