Why aren't the Democrats taking GWB to task for his lies?

it's ebbed a little for now, but it will come back when David Kay turns up nothing, or turns up something bogus.

The Enron scandal is there also. We haven't heard a lot about it recently but it will come up big time during the campaign.

5. I can't believe it either

Lies were told to start a war, and he's getting away with it. Clinton was thoroughly investigated for anything that appeared that it might be wrong. This shithead in office goes and actually does the worst things you can imagine, right in front of people, and gets away with it.

The trifecta comment didn't hurt him. Talking about an IAEA report that didn't exist didn't hurt him. Presenting obviously forged documents to the UN didn't hurt him. He lies, cheats and steals right out in the open, and it never affects him.

How did we go from most of America liking Clinton alot, and thinking the investigations were rubbish to an almost completely Republican government? One would think the Republicans would have taken some backlash for trying to bring down a popular president for dubious reasons.

and I fear the Dem's have lost that sense of timing for a bit.

But there are other things coming up that will make those "16 words" look like a game of tic-tac-toe. Just where is this new $87 bil coming from? How come Osama can get on TV, but we still can't find the SOB. Just seeing Osama or bush makes my lunch come up.

7. Dean's 16 questions

I can't understand why he isn't still asking them. Why isn't he demanding answers. I just don't get what could have happened.

8. As soon as the scandal became about the "16 words"...

you knew the scandal was over. What we have is a scandal of vast proportions, based on a mountain of lies and a long, drawn-out campaign of deception. Repubs and the conservative media reduced this to being just about "16 words". A trivial thing. Splitting hairs. When the mainline Democrats went along, that was it.

9. Clinton helped bury the issue on the Larry King call-in. On July 23

or so, King had an 80th birthday party on TV for Bob Dole.

At that time, the SOTU Lie issue was still fairly hot. Clinton called in to the show to wish Dole Happy B-day -- and King asked him to comment on the Niger-Uranium issue. Clinton immediately leapt to Bush's defense, saying that being president is a tough job, & some inaccuracies in speeches will always inevitably crop up, or words to that effect.

After that day, I never heard another word about it.

KKKarl the Beast et al. are currently being investigated by the "controlling legal authority" in a slam dunk case for CIA outing. Those sixteen words are his load for life, and you can bet your sweet bippy you'll be seeing more fireworks on this.

First the cuffs, then the public inquiry. Don't want him slipping out like Poindexter and North.
