Credible Evidence Emerges That Jeff Gannon Coordinated With the G.O.P. to Bring Down Former Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle (D-SD) in 2004 Election

The National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman singled out South Dakota Senator-elect John Thune (R) for special praise, noting that he ousted the first leader of either party running for reelection in over 50 years. He had previously said that beating Daschle would be like picking up three seats.

South Dakota is a long way from Washington, D.C.--which makes it, perhaps, no surprise that this story has taken so much longer to hit the mainstream media in significant fashion than the more spectacular fact that the man at the center of said story is a gay prostitute/anti-gay Republican activist and worked, until recently, as a "reporter" at the White House.

To all those mainstream media types lighting up the telephone lines of the nation's capital tonight trying to connect James Daniel Guckert/James Dale Guckert (alias: Jeff Gannon) to the Republican Party, look no further than South Dakota: it now appears likely that Gannon, the discredited "journalist" for a largely fictitious news service, who was (in fact) marginally employed by a Republican activist website, may have been coordinating with U.S. Senator John Thune (R-SD) to help the G.O.P. reap the second-largest prize in the 2004 general election: the head of Democratic Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle (D-SD).

Keep up the good work. When the gannongate keeps growing, the Thune campaign involvement will get more legs too. It would really be great to get Thune's hide as well. If not this term next election cycle. It doesn't surprise me a bit to see the Rove name in there as well. How does that evil bastard keep up with all his evil plots?

Make sure you keep all those files permanently, I predict you will need them again. That time-line you started is pretty good. Makes me think that the Jeff Gannon persona was one that many repuke operatives were using. Is it possible that Guckert was using the fake name at the WH press briefings but other operatives were using it in other places like in the blogs. I don't think guckert was smart enough to do this all himself.

Funny thing too, weren't people maybe mainly here on DU but other blogs as well saying that Thune set off their gaydar? Do you think there may be another layer to this? Why choose Guckert for the job, or like I said before maybe is was the fake journalist alias that was needed.
