Where does Chalabi fit in to the present situation?

It was just a few months ago that the CIA caught Chalabi giving the Iranians secret codes.

Chalabi declared at the time that it was Tenet who was PERSONALLY out to get him. Perle was still sticking up for him.

In two weeks, Tenet had "resigned." I knew then the NeoCons had triumphed....

Now Chalabi is being said to be one of two contenders for the Prime Ministership. I strongly suspect the Kurds will "freep" Ibrahim al-Jaafari, thus ensuring Chalabi's seizure of power, as has been long planned by the NeoCons.

We know they want him because he promised he would accept Israel, and, in fact, build a pipeline to that country.

We know he also has contacts within Iran -- in fact, he seems to be playing us against them, to gain power any way he can. He also has whatever alleged influence he has (although I suspect in reality he is still as popular as pork) among the Iranian-leaning Shi-ites.
But what influence will Chalabi specifically have with the oncoming conflicts with Iran and Syria?
