How is it that someone with no journalistic credentials was promoted to ask propaganda questions at White House press conferences? The issue is not whether Mr. Guckert (Jeff Gannon) might have moonlighted as a prostitute. The real question is whether the press itself, in the exercise of its professionalism, should have more control over the process.

Is it time for Congress to get involved to make sure the tough questions are allowed to be asked? What do you think we should do?

From paying off Armstrong Williams to the farce of Jeff/James Dale/Gannon/Guckert the White House Presidential press conference are certainly looking more and more like state propaganda. This is not democracy, this is not free speech. Congress on both sides of the isle need to investigate this outrageous behavior. How does a prostitute who went to "journalism school" for like 2 days, have a fake name and get into the White House and that close to a President of the United States ? For one thing it is a security breach. He could not get a pass for the Senate and the House.
Then we have the fact the not only is Jeff Gannon/Guckert a prostitute but he is a gay prostitute. If you are in the Military and they find out your gay quess what, you are out of the Military real fast.

This scandal screams for a full investigation by Congress not just bloggers. The media has been so lax in the build up to Iraq and all the other ridiculous canned "Town Hall" meeting President Bush has. l
