PHOTO: Iraqi woman faints as U.S. Soldiers enter her home...

I cannot imagine that these 'searches' are winning hearts and minds of Iraqis...would we allow this in America?

U.S Army soldiers assigned to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, render aid to a local Iraqi women who fainted as the soldiers entered to search her home during a weapons sweep operation in Baghdad, in this photograph handed out on February 21, 2005.

1. See the documentary "Hearts and Minds"
It is about the Viet Nam war, but equally applies today

4. Then rent "Battle of Algiers"
It was re-released by Rialto Pictures in 2004 and is available as a 3 DVD set--the film and loads of supplementary materials.

This is turning into a film festival!

2. yes we do allow it here . . .
like when cops go blasting through the doors at the wrong address, with a warrant issued on an informant's information ONLY.

3. She was undoubtedly overcome with gratitude for the honor of
having been selected for a surprise visit by her liberators.

We're winning their minds and hearts! Victory is at hand!

7. No doubt the poor lady was overcome by embarrassment
that she had no rose petals handy to strew in the path of her liberators as a token of her gratitude.

5. Post links to the Yahoo! articles
We need to get a source listed for these, and we need to up-rate the articles at the same time. Please post a link to the articles.

6. We all know how successful the Israeli "Defense" Forces
have been in winnning Palestinian "hearts and minds". Why then, are we emulating their techniques? Oh yeah, we really don't give a shit about that "hearts and minds" pablum we've been feeding the American people. They're just to damn dumb to understand the dichotomy between our lingo and actions. Pity.
