Bush tapes: "Message: Bush is sincere"
OK, this "Bush tapes" nonsense is such ridiculous crap that it's going to be hard for me to be coherent.

David Gregory on NBC News said something unintentionally revealing. He said, "it's striking how similar Bush sounds in private compared to his public image."

Duh! That's because that's what these stupid "SECRET TAPES" are for. "Message: Bush is sincere."

If you heard these tapes, without any of the commentary from the whores, without all the ridiculous stuff about the New York Times hiring someone to authenticate the voice, without all the garbage about how very angry Bush supposedly is, you’d think these were political ads for Bush. All they do is demonstrate that Bush cares about kids.

But then the whores come on and repeatedly tell you in various ways that this is some kind of betrayal of Bush by this guy Wead, and that Bush is really upset about it.

If you think about it, it doesn’t really make sense. There have been cases of people that actually revealed some things about Bush, and this doesn’t resemble those cases in the least. The other revelations showed a private Bush very different from the public one, they expose his hypocrisy.

The retaliation is also a matter of public record. We know what the Bushies and the Republican Noise Machine did to O’Neill, for example. Any sign of them turning their sights on Wead? Very doubtful.

3. Exactly. Its pure propaganda
Its release was timed by Rove in response to Gannon and in response to rumors of invasion of Iran, Social Security, etc.

Nothing happens in the whitehouse that is not orchestrated.

4. Fine, take their sincere message....
And shove it up their ass with this. 'It seems that during Shrub's wild and woolly days of drug use, he developed a "delicious" appetite for boys and young beefy men.' Focus attention into his drug use days, and how it connects to this Gannongate Scandal.

6. Fuck Wead and fuck Bush!
These tapes are so much bullshit. I'm supposed to believe George didn't know he was being taped. Isn't that illegal? Why do I believe George and Karl conspired to make and then release these goddamn recordings. I am sick and fucking tired of putting up with this cheap propaganda.

Hey, Media Organizations: Get off your fuckin' asses and expose these Nazi monsters.

7. Do we know anything about this person who 'released' the tapes?
Is he a bush stooge from way back, some idiot who just wants his 15 minutes of fame? I haven't heard much about him, just his supposed "betrayal" of bush.

And yes, it does fit the pattern of disinformation and legerdemain that rove is famous for.

11. Poppy's liaison to evangelicals
has a book out now on the childhoods of various presidents.

I saw him on C-span yesterday, and he didn't have the haunted -- or dead -- look of someone who had ACTUALLY crossed the Bush family.

9. It's useful for outing whores. Not that they aren't already pretty far out

But still. It's so obvious that it's pure propaganda, so watch who runs with it. Maybe someone will surprise you.
Also - the fact that they feel the need to use this particular ammo now should send up our antennae for other stories. From what are they trying to distract? Would they spend this capital for guckertgate? Or is there something else, like the prep for the attack on Syria/Iran or the raid on SS?

Edited to add: Windy above has it right - they are using this capital to distract from guckert-iran-ss, all of the above.

12. I think it's about Social Security
I think one of the biggest threats to Bush's designs is the potential for people to see through the "saving Social Security" rhetoric, and to realize that what he really wants is to sabotage it.

The whores are trying their best to keep this truth from us, but it has a chance of getting through. That Bush quote from 1978 is really dangerous to them, for example.

Listening to the upcoming SS debate, it could go either way for a given person. They could say, maybe I don't agree with Bush, but I think he really is concerned about the future of the program, or they could call bullshit.

And a story like this, that shows that Bush really does believe in his what he says publicly, could tip that reaction in Bush's favor.

10. We can counter the positive spin in the media
by repeating his "sincere" objections about cozying up to RW Christian leaders and coming out against gay people. Just maybe the RW will get the clue that he really isn't, never was, never will be on their side.

Makes you wonder, though, why these "sincere" tapes came out now. After reading the article about Scott Ritter's claim that we are going to bomb Iraq in June :tinfoilhat: I can't help but wonder if they are trying to boost b*sh's approval rating in advance.
