Please tell me their is a silver lining to Dubya being prez
for four more years and that is that it will be easier to catch him in a mistake or lie, or scandal.

Where are the dems?? Why aren't they out for blood? If we know funny business was going on with the last two elections you know they know. Why wasn't the Pnac ever brought up by the candidates or anyone during election, or Valerie Plume (sp?) or any of the other scandals.. or the fact that they were hiding parts of the 9/11 commission until after the election.. etc.

why won't someone speak up for us. We are doing all we can here, but when I talk to other people about stuff they think i sound like a conspiracy theorist because I'm telling them stuff they haven't heard from legitimate news sources.. things that they don't know that should be public knowlege. So why aren't the dems saying this stuff and getting it out there??

1. After Nixon's destruction of George mcGovern in 1972 --
-- people threw their hands up in despair, believing that all was done.

A few months later, the first few Watergate indictments began to roll out, and in the final months of that presidency, "Nixon's men turned on each other like rats in a slumfire," to quote the late, great Dr. Thompson.

Let's see what cards History still has up its sleeves.

2. The silver lining
The shit will hit the fan over the next two years or so. Iraq is more and more of quagmire and a Muslim fundamentalist government is likely to be installed. This means that people will finally see that B*** is responsible -- they won't be able to blame Kerry because he wasn't elected.
Our economy will sink under B***. Again, they will not be able to blame anyone but themselves since they've been in charge for so long.
B*** will go down in history as even worse than Nixon.

3. He's a major "Wake Up" call to all those who...
couldn't see any difference between Al Gore and *

Also, I think this is a sort of "All Out Push" or "Cash Grab," (tired of waiting, grab it now, then leave the country) sort of thing.

Most now know who the "Real Enemy" is, and who to fight.

4. Yes, this administration is only for now.
Things will get better and worse in the future. As much as they would like to think that their reign is permanent, it isn't. And, when they lose their turn, they're going to regret the choices they made during it.

5. I will be sick if his term goes off without a hitch with
half of America still believing that he was God's chosen president and history books writing nice things about him. I will be sick!!

9. Well, get ready, just in case.
We've got so many brainwashed-stupid people voting republican and refusing to think for themselves that they can get away with just about anything. I'm hoping to burn as many of them as possible before they die, which might still be hoping for too much. I mean, who shot Kennedy? And that was with Democrats in office. Anyway, depressing facts aside, there are a whole bunch of us who feel the same way you do, and we don't have to take any of this lying down. Just keep your eyes open, your head on straight, and do what you feel you can to help until we get our turn again.

7. A major backlash where we will clean house of all the Neocons
PNACers, liars, torturers, and corporate whores (both elected officals and the media).

Unfortunately, things will have to get worse before they get better.:-(

win easily and take control of both houses of congress.

12. There is NO silver lining
Edited on Mon Feb-21-05 03:40 PM by ProudDad
The real problem is the underlying socio-economic situation which is oppresing us all. As long as rampant, global capitalism is allowed to flourish we'll continue to get repukes like bush and repuke lights like clinton in the role of mouthpiece for the owners of society.

Get real, get educated. They're picking your pockets, distoring your souls and destroying your environment while you're worried about filling up your SUV's with gas and buying cheap clothing and crap made by slaves in "third world" countries.

The true evil is the present form of capitalism which must be attacked by "any means necessary" until it's made subserviant to real, authentic human (and animal) physical and spiritual needs instead of the other way around. Unfortunately, most of the dems and all of the repukes are 100% brainwashed with the corporate-capitalist frame of reference and can't be counted on for help.

The only silver lining I can hold out is secession. We should build communities among ourselves -- within our existing physical communities and opt-out of the selfishness of the current paradigm.

We must change our personal paradigm in any way we can. We could build economic alternatives like barter to bypass their system of money. We can build different models of providing living space such as cluster communities instead of the suburban "single-family home" model. We can "downsize" our material requirements for housing, transportation and entertainment to starve the beast.

If you're in the area, try this: http://www.consensus.net/sustainable_future.html

Have a nice day... :)

If Kerry had wanted too, he could have decimated Bush in the debates with just a key well placed questions.

The Dems are going to keep taking a dive until they fear us more than the right.

19. Medicare Prescription ...was
The only thing I can think of that was a step in the right direction of his. YES I know there were many other aspects of health care that were sold off and diminished to get that one aspect he campaigned on. I'm not happy about his health care changes overall, but that one aspect is the ONLY thing I can think of that he did good.
