needs caption PHOTO: bush* always spreads his legs during meetings....

it's a VERY undignified mannerism to sit splayed like that....

seems that no one ever taught the chimp how to properly SIT in a chair,

OR....

bush* has some kind of irritating 'crotch rot'....

U.S. President George W. Bush (R) is greeted by NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer at NATO in Brussels, February 21, 2005. Bush, in a speech today, will appeal to Europeans to replace disagreements over Iraq with what he called a new era of trans-Atlantic unity with a goal of spreading democracy across the Middle East. 8. That's right, pardner............
when you've been out riding the range all day looking for dogies.......oh, that's right, bush is scared of horses. There's not a horse on his pig farm, is there? :scared: A big tough cowboy like bush, scared of horses. Go figure. What could the reason be then?

Maybe Jeff was a little rough when he went riding the 'range' the other day? Remember, Jeff's always the 'rider', not the 'ridee'. ;)

20. Business School 101: The Executive Pose
Strike a pose
Body language is the national language of TV. Impressions of people are actually formed within the first minute they're on camera - it's in that minute that your CEO can win or lose an audience. To win, your CEO should practice the "executive pose", which radiates the confidence needed to sell a message. The pose includes legs crossed at the knee, hands folded when not being used to gesture, and elbows rested on chair arms (if any). Your CEO should lean forward slightly, communicating interest and enthusiasm, and smile appropriately.

34. Greetings Peggy
Thank you:hi: and to DU.
I'm just a fool for those cutesy smilies and emoticons and love using them, like that's not obvious. heh

IMHO, there's nothing quite like watching beautiful horses run. And since I don't have any of my own at the moment, the little loping red horse on the screen will have to suffice for a while.

California ay:-) I'm a native of So Cal myself but now we live amongst the corn in Iowa. Normally this time of year I'm wishing to be back home for a family visit and to escape the wintry cold here for the warmer drier weather there. Not this year though. This winter has been relatively mild and dry for us and geeeez, California keeps getting slammed with storm after storm after storm

I hope where ever it is you're living you're not getting flooded out or having to worry about sliding down the side of a hill. *gulp* or having to worry about a hill sliding down on you x(

Again Welcome to DU :toast:

45. You are so nice!
Yes, we've had waaaay too much rain! I'm starting to plan my forays into the marketplace based on how the sky looks at any given moment. But we are OK: our house is on a hill, but it's a little one and the house is extremely well anchored; no danger of slipping anywhere. And all the pumps in the yard are new and are busy doing their thing, keeping the water going into the street. Thank you for asking! I LOVE being here at DU!

33. Laura stands like a cow, too
No one ever taught her how to stand properly, with one foot slightly behind the other and to an angle. She just plants her feet like Bossie the Cow. Moo!

And, while we're at manners, Condi Rice sits in the most improper and insulting way. She hooks one foreleg over the other knee in the manner of a longshoreman. (No insult intended, longshoremen.) Her skirts are always very short, so about twelve inches of leg is inappropriately showing for a woman in her professional position.

39. Bush is an actor playing a role.
He knows how to sit properly in a chair. But he wants everyone to believe he's an unsophisticated cowboy boob.

But look at his history: his family has been at the center of power in this country for 70 years, he went to the finest universities, he's headed multi-million dollar corporations - in short, he represents the elite.

But he acts like the unsophisticated boob for the explicit purpose of bonding with the unsophisticated boobs who support him.

It's a common tactic of totalitarian dictators. Worked for Hitler.

42. This is my major complaint about NY men on the subway -
IMO, they are attempting to convince you that what's between their legs is so HUGE that they are simply unable to put their legs together. They are so manly that pregnant women and little old ladies are forced to stand on the train because these men require three seats apiece in order to sit comfortably. It's infuriating. And you know, if they really had it, they wouldn't need to make the big show about it. Am I right?

Edited on Tue Feb-22-05 08:19 AM by Malva Zebrina
look--Bush has his back planted firmly against the chair, and the other guy, Scheffer, is forced to lean out of his chair toward Bush in order to shake the hand of the criminal warmongerer. No way Bush can lean toward Scheffer with his legs spread apart that way and back planted well into the chair. Interesting that his tie points toward that with which is chooses to display or suggest--

My husband saw Laura Bush wearing her pink horror on tee vee and he now calls her the "pink seal"--her grotesque method of clapping, arms spread way out, flying back in, culminatuing in a sort of a waving flip at the end indeed does look the flapping of seal flippers in some circus.
