I have figured out why conservatives are bashing Hollywood...

They want the government to control the film industry. Now that the government practically owns the media, they want to control the movies in order to further the government's control over the people.

Hollywood is a major player in funding the Democratic Party. They're trying to dry up the funds they give to the Dems.

It's the same reason why they're tartgetting trial lawyers with so-called "tort reform." Lawywers also contribute more to Dems than they do to Repubs.

It's true that some conservatives don't like the content of Hollwood films, an aspect of the culture wars, etc. It's fascinating, really - the entertainment industry is a perfect example of a market economy... people vote with their dollars what they want to see. Yet Repubs seem to hate and reject that aspect of it.

and 2.) against Bush and 3.) known world wide and their opinion carries weight...

Also they have already begun to make downright propaganda films. There will this abominable thing about Falluja. And does anybody remember the movie - it was so bad I never could remember it's name... the story: There's an Arab race in an Arab country every year, something for a thousand miles, and the American Heroe wins it with his QUARTER HORSE???!!! Every Arab in there was dumb and ugly, and the beautiful Arab horses weren't even shown - just this American shithead and his Quarter... We said when we saw it" Well, they are fucking up in Iraq, so they have to win at least in the movies".
