WAY to go, bush! Afghanistan listed as #173 WORST nation out of 178!
Three years after the fall of the Taliban, Afghanistan remains the world's sixth-least developed country, the United Nations said Monday, warning that a nation that became a haven for international terrorists could fail again unless more is done to improve the lives of its long-suffering citizens.

In a wide-ranging report that measures Afghans' personal security, welfare and ability to control their own lives, the world body ranked the country 173rd out of 178 assessed in 2004. The five states that fared worse are in sub-Saharan Africa.

That's bush, staying with his life-long standard! Of utter total complete failure.

5. You can compare the numbers here...
for the most recent numbers:
http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/af.html

for the 2000 numbers:
http://www.asiasource.org/profiles/ap_mp_03.cfm?countryid=32

(Both sets of stats come from the CIA fact book.)

There is no doubt that life as gotten worse for Afghani's and it was no piece of cake before the invasion. For example:

1) Life expentancy has decreases for both men and women from 46.6 years to 42.46 years.
2) Infant mortality has increased from 144.76 deaths/1,000 live births to 165.96 deaths/1000 live births.

2. I guess we could have sent them $200 Billion, instead of spending it on
Iraq.

4. All aid agencies have withdrawn because of hostility
But Bush claims it as a liberated country? In his dreams.
