I jumped at the opportunity to come along with my step-father, who is going to talk to him about his small business, in exchange for sacrificing a couple hours of sleep. My question for y'all is...what do I say to him? What do I bring up? Any advice?

Chris Cox had the honor of introducing him, and he took the opportunity to mock the Democrats whose hatred of America led them to get Iraq so horribly wrong.

Then he said, "We continue to discover biological and chemical weapons and facilities to make them inside Iraq." Apparently, most of the hundreds of people in attendance already knew about these remarkable, hitherto-unreported discoveries, because no one gasped at this startling revelation.

Check the guy out, how he operates, etc. but don't give him any crap. Not cool and would screw up step dad's biz. He didn't do anything to you so mums the word.

5. This is the week that UFPJ and several other groups are encouraging...

...us to arrange meetings with our Congresspeople.

George W. Bush is asking Congress for $80 billion more for the failed Iraq war. Congress is gearing up to pour more money to "stay the course" of the past two tragic years. Tell your Member of Congress that not one more dime should go to waging war in Iraq. Instead, the U.S. must end the occupation, bring our troops home, and support Iraqi sovereignty.

6. He's my Rep.

Ask him why my beach (Dana Point) is one of the most polluted in the country.

Ask him how he intends to pay for the Iranian War.

Ask him why he would not respond to question asking him how he voted when Republicans decided to change the ethics rules. Ask him why the rules need to be relaxed in the first place.

9. I would ask about his constituents and how he sees the district changing

Play it cool and ask how he sees his district remaining Republican and how most of California is tending Democratic. You won't convince him but you may get some insights.

11. E-Voting Machines & private source software

Talk to him about the insecurity of e-voting machines, non-secure tabulating maching and the how inappropriate it is for private corporations to own our electoral process.

Remind him that voting belongs to the citizenry, not private corporations. Voting needs to be auditable. Citizens need to have a method to validate the voting process and have trust in the voting and re-counting process. It is not good enough for private companies with no accountability to the citizenry to be able to just say "trust us," because they are not trustworthy and we don't trust them.

It's a non-partisan issue, one that is of big concern to both parties so it should be appropriate to bring it up under the circumstances of your meeting.
