Interesting. No way to know if this source is credible, of course, though my gut instinct is that he's telling the truth.

The detail about condoms tossed out windows for the capitol police to pickup had a ring of authenticity. About 25 years ago I worked in Sacramento, and heard many stories about orgies in certain legislative offices, at which condoms were left strewn around for the sergents-at-arms to clean up, much to their dismay.

I won't mention names, but one of those rumored to engage in these affairs was a politician who championed bills to protect rape victims' rights--before he got busted and tried for statutory rape of an intern. (He trashed her reputation on the stand, and got off. But enough other capital women told me of "close encounters" of an unwanted nature with this individual that I imagine the rest of this was probably true, too.)

Also recall that this source leaked info stating Bush was planning an imminent invasion of Iran. While the timing was wrong, at least two prominent journalists now say Bush is planning to invade Iran in the near future--including Seymour Hersh, the Pulitzer Prize-winning NY Times journalist.

It does amaze me that someone who does not have the political degrees is able to reach his height in the party.
