I am so sick and tired of liars

How come most of the fundies, freepers and neocons think that it's okay to lie about everything and everyone?

For them, the ends always justify the means. Anything goes. They break laws with impunity and for the most part they get away with it.

In the meantime, the proclaim their superior morality and putting the 10 Commandments in public spaces is a top priority. Funny, from the way these folks act, you would think they had never even heard of the ten commandments? Especially #9 - "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour."

One of the things that I love about DU is the honesty and integrity that you find here. People here want to know the truth and they do not tolerate bs. If you post something here, you better back it up with links and proof, otherwise you will get called on it.

However, on the other side, are our polar opposites, the Freepers. Most freepers could care less about the truth. They rarely back up their claims and forget about posting a link from a credible source, there's no such thing. They have even set up a sub group, called Free Republic Network from which most of the attacks and against Dems and have been created and promoted. The truth matters nothing to this crew, of which Gannon was a prominent member. Remember Gannon was the one that claimed to go to church three times a day, yeah right.

What amazes me is that most people that I meet outside of DU and the blogsphere have never heard the term freeper or of sites like Free Republic. Even with the whole Gannon scandal in the press, there is very little mention of the fact that Gannon was a freeper.

So how can we expose these liars to the rest of the country? I don't know, but I do know that it is way past time for 'freeper' to become a household word and for the word freeper to become synonymous with the word liar.

2. I posted the Gannon-Guckert story on another message board

and got some good replies from people who are generally distracted and exhausted by politics. They had paid attention tothis story because it was a scandal, and had concluded that G/G was a WH plant.

The analysis didn't go any further, though, such as whether he might have been involved in the Plame story, or more deeply, whether there is a relationship between G/G and the old pedophilia story and Johnny Gosch.

that is, I'm a "Newbie", never heard the term FREEPER, but I sure know what a liar is.
What I would like is its DEFINITION....someone, please, so I know what I'm talking about should I use the term. Thanks.......:>)
