Jose Canseco is Telling the BIG TRUTH!
I can't believe it has taken this long for sports fans to pull their heads out of the sand.
Do you think it is evolution that has made today's athletes bigger and stronger in the last 30 years or so?
I was on the inside for several years.
I for one am glad as hell that someone had the balls to come forward with the truth about sports and steroids.
It ain't just baseball and it ain't something new.
Sure Conseco is cocky, but the reason he is being slammed is that he is revealing a secret that is making many people millions and millions of dollars. Athletes,Owners, Coaches, Managers, Trainers, Concessioners, Television etc...etc...
He is the Karen Silkwood of sports.
It's about friggin time!

2. I think he is telling the truth, but I don't think he is a hero
he is doing it simply because he needs the money. The rumors about the others especially McGuire have been out there for quite some time and especially when he was in the homerun derby with Sammy Sosa.

4. Yeah, But...
Money may be his motive, but he is for the most part telling the absolute truth.

5. I think he is telling an exaggerated truth
I am sure he took steroids. I know Giambi took steroids. I am sure Camminetti took steroids. I am pretty sure Bonds, Sosa, and McGwire have dabbled. And I imagine at least 25 percent of the players were or are on the juice.

But I don't believe necessarily that he personally injected McGwire in a bathroom stall. I think he is selling a book to make money.

I have strong reason to believe the percentages of users in professional sports is much higher than 25%!

8. One of my good friends wentto high school with Canseco
at Columbus in Miami. My friend started on the football team and worked out with Canseco in the summers. Apparently Canseco was not very big or good at that stage. Shortly after graduating Canseco ballooned in size. It was common knowledge around Miami that the size was a product of heavy steroid use. As a result Canseco made it into the pros and earned a nice hefty salary for years. I'm sure that there are no other mediocre ballplayers out there desperate enough to make it to the majors to use steroids to get there. Canseco has to be the only one.

10. the game will not be cleaned up.
steroid use will become less obvious, and the players will move onto substances that are not tested for, or subvert the process and juice outside of testing times.

they all do it, in every sport. to play at that level, everyone cheats, same as the olympics.

to believe otherwise is naive.
