Bring down Karl Rove, and you bring down the administration
Edited on Tue Feb-22-05 12:16 PM by Walt Starr
Keep that in mind. Karl Rove is the glue of the administration. Don't go after Bush, go after Rove. Any story that will do damage will only do damge if it damages Rove.

Rove should be the target. KARL ROVE IS THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION!!!

2. I agree. I used to think it was Cheney, but after watching
Bush's Brain yesterday on Sundance, I have changed my mind. Rove is in charge.

4. but the contributions of Rice, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Ashcroft
are kinda' hard to ignore though. I don't see Rove as any kind of important figurehead. And even if he was calling all the shots (which I don't disagree he is), even if he were to be removed he would still be calling all the shots from an undisclosed location, or even prison- like any mafia godfather.
The only real way to 'damage' these bastards is to remove them from power.

7. Rove is the glue
Without Rove, Bush comes unglued. The whole thing would fall apart.

11. Well to start with, why haven't we had the Rathergate memos traced....
back to their source yet? Why hasn't the Plamegate matter been exposed yet? There is just a lack of serious investigative reporting out there. Sy Hersh can't do everything! (And his sources appear to be more on the military/intelligence end of things).

10. Too late for that I think
but the dominoes could eventually take many down. The time to go after Rove was in 2000 when he had a material conflict of interest that got such a free pass it isn't even remembered. Bush I lost his hit man and his second term. Rove's loss would damage the propaganda game to sell the absurd agenda but it is not as decisive as it would have been even last year.

By the way i stuck my neck out in defining the major players in 2000 when I had no idea what I was talking about. Eventually Rove, the genius, was exposed as the central figure in Bush strategy. I was wrong about Powell whom they thrashed as much as exploited.

You don't take years to deal with a criminal who now dominates all the accountability structures in the nation.

Bushco is an amoral criminal organization. It should have been treated as such, not given compliments and respect and deference.
