Air Force officer: Bush allowed September 11 attacks

Hijacker attended US military school

Excerpt:
The controversy surrounding Lt. Col. Steve Butler’s letter to the editor, in which he affirmed that Bush did nothing to warn the American people because he “needed this war on terrorism,”
received scant coverage in the media.

Universally ignored by the press, however, was that the officer was not merely expressing a personal opinion.
He was in a position to have direct knowledge of contacts between the US military and some of the hijackers in the period before the terrorist attacks that destroyed the World Trade Center and damaged the Pentagon.

Air Force officer disciplined for saying Bush allowed September 11 attacks
Hijacker attended US military school
By Jerry Isaacs
21 June 2002

just read this section.....

Over the next few days, more detailed information appeared in several other newspapers. A September 16 article in the New York Times reported: “Three of the men identified as the hijackers in the attacks on Tuesday have the same names as alumni of American military schools, the authorities said today. The men were identified as Mohamed Atta, Abdulaziz al-Omari and Saeed al-Ghamdi.

“The Defense Department said Mr. Atta had gone to the International Officers School at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama; Mr. al-Omari to the Aerospace Medical School at Brooks Air Force Base in Texas; and Mr. al-Ghamdi to the Defense Language Institute at the Presidio in Monterey, Calif.”

1. Absolutely chilling.
Makes your blood run cold. To think that the people currently occupying the White House could look the other way as they knew disaster was about to strike.

Worse yet, it appears that they participated (!)

Words fail me (a very rare occurrence)

It does seem strange that the president conveniently was out of state, in Florida in an elementary school reading a story about pet goats. That always struck me as very strange. Also, that he didn't do anything about the national emergency until 45 minutes later. It's almost as if he wanted them to finish their job before they did anything.

Yikes!

2. Bush is compromised by his Binladen business connections
and his whole family's long standing oil ties to the Saudi royal families. Al Qaeda felt safe attacking us on 911 because they knew Bush couldn't say anything, because of his ties to them.

Bush belongs in prison.

4. Not only does * belong in prison
He deserves to be Slobodan Milosevic's bitch. That would be just desserts for his crimes against humanity.

3. My theory
Edited on Wed Sep-10-03 09:11 PM by Boom_cha
is that if the Bush Administration was involved in orchestrating 9/11 (I'm not saying that they were, but it is entirely possible, IMO), Bush himself was kept in the dark while his underlings (the PNAC crowd) did the dirty work. They needed a "Pearl Harbor" to advance their agenda, so they created one, but there was no need for Doofus-boy* to know about it in advance and he probably still doesn't know about his staff's involvement.

6. you're being too kind. Why in the world would you assume that?
Why would you let him off the hook? Because he seems like such a doofus? Because you don't want to believe that your president could be that evil?

C'mon .... if it was MIHOP, it was Poppy and the whole gang. Junior was driving the car, he's just as guilty.

8. He wanted to be dictator, remember?
He needed a "big event"...for the Afghan invasion, to boost his poll numbers, to "take command". I won't speculate on this thread on how much they knew in advance....but I see many motives in Junior going along with this...

12. It would be easier if I were dictator
didn't he say that. And I remember a speech he gave in the summer before 9-11 when he kept saying how safe our borders were. He knew it, he damn well knew something and I dont' care if my repub family disowns me, HE KNEW!!!

7. Well, no arguing he'd be a perfect dupe.
But 2 things stand out on that day-

1) Dimson blowing his lines "I saw the 1st plane hit the WTC. I thought that was one bad pilot."

2) Him sitting there and doing nothing for 20 minutes. If you were surprised and it was apparent that we were under attack....would that be your reaction?

9. The quote is actually worse than that. From the White House website...
<http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2001/12/20011204-17.html>

"Q One thing, Mr. President, is that you have no idea how much you've done for this country. And another thing is that, how did you feel when you heard about the terrorist attack? (Applause.)

THE PRESIDENT: Thank you, Jordan. Well, Jordan, you're not going to believe what state I was in when I heard about the terrorist attack. I was in Florida. And my Chief of Staff, Andy Card -- actually, I was in a classroom talking about a reading program that works. I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower -- the TV was obviously on. And I used to fly, myself, and I said, well, there's one terrible pilot. I said, it must have been a horrible accident.

But I was whisked off there, I didn't have much time to think about it. And I was sitting in the classroom, and Andy Card, my Chief of Staff, who is sitting over here, walked in and said, 'A second plane has hit the tower, America is under attack.'"

Think about this for a moment...Junior was OUTSIDE the classroom when he saw the first plane hit the tower, and he claims that he saw it on television! Was the television in the presidential limo tuned to a closed circuit view of the WTC? If it was, that clearly implicates Junior as having foreknowledge of the attacks because none of the television networks had a camera on the WTC at the time the first plane hit. We also know that he didn't go into the classroom until approximately 8:55 am...the first impact took place at 8:46 am.

And then he clearly states that he was "sitting in the classroom" when Card came in to tell him about the second strike which took place at 9:05 am.

Guilty.

11. Incriminating words, indeed.
(1) He couldn't be referring to the 2nd plane....he wasn't notified by Card until he was sitting in the classroom, struggling to keep up with the class reading. He couldn't be confused because at that point, there'd be no reason to think it was "a terrible pilot".

(2) He couldn't have seen the 1st plane...as we know, there was no commercial footage available until later that day.

So did he really see the 1st plane hit? If he did, then why isn't he held for impeachment and tried for treason?

13. he was in another room in the school
there are pictures of this moment, if they are true, which shows a school tv behind Bush...he's not looking at it, but there are other people in the room as well.

ask symbolman. I think he used it in his video which juxtaposes Bush in the school on one side of the screen with the World Trade Center on the other...with the time also shown.

14. I've seen 'em...and they were taken before he enters the classroom.
No doubt he saw the TV news of the aftermath of the 1st plane crash. But he clearly has said (more than once), that he saw the plane fly into the building. Did he really? Or is this just another throwaway line that he used....if this is the case, I found it amazing that he could embellish on a such a devastating detail without thinking about what he is telling the American people.

OR, was this in the script and that fact that it went unrecorded was unknown and therefore not subject to revision at the last moment? Maybe the plan was for him to make this statement immediately, to show that we were unprepared for the attack....because it was assumed that it had been captured on film. Was someone supposed to advise the broadcast media that planes were headed for NYC? Did someone forget to clue in the TV networks so that they'd be prepared for the "event"?

I don't know why he has not been subpeoned by the 9/11 commission to explain this comment. Shouldn't we assume that the President of the United States would clearly tell the truth about his knowledge of the event? If it was a mistake, fine, let him tell us, under oath, he screwed up.

16. Actually the vidoe is from GLobalFreePress.com

It gets played at 9-11 conferences like the one last night in NYC a lot and airs weekly in NYC on channel 34.

You can see it at GlobalFreePress.com as a QuickTime file.

I think TBTM did a Flash animation rather than a video or movie. But both address inconsistencies of Bush's statements.

The GFP video is 30 mins long so there was more of an opportunity to address other elements of 9-11.

GFP just finished a series of interviews with Greg Palast, Cynthia McKinney, Mike Ruppert and a long list of prominent 9-11 skeptics, which will be included in the next Shadow Government Television 9-11 documentary.

10. What color socks does Howard Dean prefer?
911 is over, so get over it, you conspiracy nuts! Right?

We've been so transfixed in the next crime and the next crime that we haven't even noticed that the whole 911 legend is falling apart.

15. I hope those gals from Tweety's show last night ...
.. get wind of this!

Y'know, the spouses of 9/11 victims? They were great! Seemed to leave Tweety speechless.
