I'm pretty sure the AARP would win in a showdown. Seniors aren't as gullible as the right thinks. They know when a brain-damaged fascist daddy's boy is trying to ruin their fiscal future.

was a big, fat mistake. And crudely done to boot.

2. This attack on AARP is a fake attack
that is meant to make their membership surge.

"What? They're LIBERAL? We never knew!"

The fact is that their membership took a huge hit after the pharmaceutical company fattening fiasco, as it well should have. Boomers especially dropped out in huge numbers.

They're not being attacked. This is just a PR stunt.

3. It did.
I called AARP to see if my online registration went through (a whole other story) and asked the guy if there was a surge in membership today. He said yes; I told him why and he just chuckled. I think this ad thing was AARPs biggest pr coup ever. Bwahahahaha!

4. No one should be supporting AARP.
Have we forgotten how they threw their support behind *'s phony preseciption drug plan? That was only a year ago.

Screw 'em both (bushco & AARP).

10. Yep. I always send them back with my personal info
missing, the form torn up and placed in the envelope and some extra weight thrown in the BRE (business reply envelope). They only pay postage on the envelopes that are returned, which is usually about 2% of what they sent out. It's an easy way to cost them $ they hadn't planned for.

The same strategery works for any RW crap that comes your way...

6. The attack on AARP is to show their "librul" bias of those leftist,
pinko, commie-fascists and their real agenda is about to be exposed by the righteous, moral, honor thy mother and father, save the fetuses right, THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. The Republican Party, through its faithful CEO masters, has amassed $10,000,000.00 to make America aware of the librul conspiracy to sweep the crumbs off the Corporate table for the elderly proletariat. Heresy. And for them to live comfortably in your old age. Blasphemy. And have medical health care. What would Leviticus say?

No, The Republican Party is set to crush the AARP, and to the misguided elderly, the Party talking point is "LOVE IT, OR DIE!"

7. I joined today
they have made HUGE mistakes in the past Catastrophic Insurance and the Prescription drug fiasco, but this ad was done by the same guys who did the Swift Boat nonsense and the only place it was published is in the "American Spectator." AARP really didn't have anything to do with this. This is typical right wing bushit.

9. Yep. Typical.
But AARP is on the right side of the Social Security Privatization issue, so I will join the fight with them. When this fiasco is defeated, then we can discuss those other issues--heatedly.
