Exactly How Is Bush Going to Pull "This" Off

To summarize politicians (especially those who have made trips to Iraq), talking heads, foreign dignitaries interviewed, etc. over the last few days regarding the Iraq situation:

They seem to agree that we the next three months are critical (a few say six months). What they are seeing is that the Iraqis are beginning to complain (nothing dumb about these people) that: 1) we were the ones who armed Saddam with the bio and chem weapons and turned our eyes at his horrible treatment of them; 2) Pappa Bush told them we would come to their aid if they rose up against Saddam in '91 when we had other plans for the region and didn't go through with it; thus, a whole bunch of them got butchered, again; and 3) they are in essence saying "you fuckers better produce this time and fast or we are going to hold one hell of a civil war!!! Amazing how they can figure things out but we can't--guess you gotta be there to understand (sarcasm)! Now, there is something that seems elemental logic here.

We can throw bizillions of dollars and work like hell to restore electrical grid, water, etc. but all it takes is a couple of the boys getting all "jihad-id" up and a few pounds of things that go "boom" and bingo, we're right back to zip. It's the ultimate hampster running like crazy in the wheel and getting nowhere. Actually, if it were a little more "south" we would call it Israel/Palestine---something else that just a handful of zealots (and there's always one in every family)can bring progress to a total halt. Sooo, what does the Bush asshole have in mind?? Are they going to quick train an Iraqi militia (made up of the assholes that were just oppressing the populace), hold a fast election of hand picked US chosen goons, turn the country over to them, tell the American people "mission accomplished" and leave--and then pretend we don't see the civil war that will errupt??? If not in that time period this thing is going to blow sky high and Bush's chances at re-election with them. Surely, these scum have a plan to sweep this thing under the carpet. How are they going to do this in 3-6 months.

1. The only way I see Bush winning....

Is if we Democrats or liberals in general destroy each other first. I've been fairly happy with the lack of Dem vs. Dem bashing in the Debates. But I've been very unhappy with all of the Dem vs. Dem attacks on the Dem candidates.

Look at *'s poll numbers! He's finished unless we kill ourselves first.

3. My point is that for HIS sake he cannot let that civil war get under way

...or let's put it this way...he would have to get the hell out fast, declare it a victory and hope the American people were paying as little attention to it come summer '04 as they are paying attention to Afghanistan. He's got about a 3-6 month window according to all these talking heads and politicians. I guess things are really simmering under the surface with the population and if they can't control it, it's going to blow. But how the hell do you control that mess???

2. The transition to another

"asshole" will be called democracy. I think they're hoping that the real civil war won't break out until after the election...when it's too late to be held accountable.(as if they ever are.)

They are going to hold these idiot "elections" next summer (hummm right around Dem convention time, I would assume). Then they can say it's the problem of the duly elected government of Iraq. And look so innocent that they have nothing to do with anything that happens from there. In fact it was Rummy the other day that said it is the responsibility of Afghanistan to defend itself----well, ain't that precious after you bombed the living shit out of it!!!
